Hi Peeps, it's been sometime since the Lions blogged. This is due to the fact that Cuchi found a new job harvesting rainbows thus the initial phase took up a bit of her time.... Oh well, at least she is settled down now. The Lions managed to find a little joint in Marsiling. Well, it's not exactly upmarket but one will feel a bit like it with the commendable quality of the food. Cute Cute discovered this place while he was roaming around the area. Enticed by the menu filled with Japanese and Western food items, Cute Cute decided to bring Cuchi along to give Collin's a shot. Of course, on their way to Collin's, the lions noticed this kitty who was sleeping on her work!
Just 5 more minutes of sleep please... I promise I will deliver the fax after that |
Separated from the rest of the coffee shop, Collin's has their very own corner of tables, chairs and utensils. |
A humble-looking place |
Popular with the family |
Modern, they even have a facebook page |
The Lions' first item was the Saba Shioyaki. Done very well and comparable to the standard of some Japanese restaurants but at a fraction of the price. |
The main draw for this meal was actually the soft shell crab salad. The portion of the soft shell crab was generous with mayonnaise and sweet sauce . |
The garlic fried rice was pretty average but the portion was big enough for 2! |
And of course not forgetting the Agedeshi Tofu that put some restaurants here to shame. |
The Lions were very satisfied and happy. Good Japanese food at a fraction of the price at restaurants. Recommended for those on a tight budget.
Here is our review for Collins:
Food Quality: 7.5 pawprints out of 10
Ambience: 6 pawprints out of 10 (It's a hawker stall after all)
