Cosying up in Breadyard

Once again, Cute Cute had the pleasure of having Ms Body Beautiful around to explore another new place with him. As they were in the west... Cute Cute recalled a cafe that is located in the heart of a school. Now there are a few schools in the west and Cute Cute unfortunately went into the wrong school, The School of Science and Technology, to look for Breadyard. Thankfully, a friend of Ms BB happened to be there and pointed to us the correct school, Singapore University of Technology and Design, which houses Breadyard.
There, there.... even though we are lost, we managed to find our way right?
Breadyard is operated by a passionate family who is into baking homemade bread out of their non commercial ovens and claypots. Expect a simple homely non commercial feel in Breadyard once you step in. The menu is also 'bread centric' (as said on their website) and you can find kaya toast, scrambled egg on toast and even curry with bread on their menu.

Once in, Cute Cute and Ms BB was greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread and oooo, it smelled so good. On display were the Hokkaido milk bread that were freshly baked. Of course, the 2 friends came in not to gawk but to sample the food in Breadyard!

The instructional board that Cute Cute and Ms BB failed to see until they are leaving.
Hokkaido Milk Bread
The perks of being a student

Eggs Bettino
The eggs bettino was ordered despite the fact that Cute Cute and Ms BB had their lunch already. It was the tempting look of the eggs bettino from another table that prompted them to order it. The verdict? Eggcellent! The eggs were poached correctly that they were runny when poked. And the Hollandaise sauce gave it the much needed zing to the neutral tasting eggs. The bread remained crusty despite the runny yolk and sauce dousing it. A must try over at Breadyard.
The long black is decent but not fantastic. However, remember that Breadyard is a place for bread.....
Kaya Toast
My apologies that we do not have the photos for the next 2 items as they were savagely decimated before any photos were taken. But a review has to be done for them as they tasted so good. The simple Kaya Toast was crunchy and it was cut very nicely symmetrical. You will not see the flattened part in the middle where the knife was. A pure delight to have with your coffee.

Scrambled eggs on Toast
Another wonder. Scrambled eggs on toast and the toast remained crunchy. The bread used was the Hokkaido Milk Bread which gave the dish an additional flavoring to it.

Now it was the first time that the two stepped into SUTD and no doubt, they went exploring around as well.

Breadyard is a cosy place to enjoy the food and let's you step out of the hectic life to enjoy life's simple pleasure.

Here is our review for Breadyard:
