Cafe Hopping at Kampong Glam - Tolido's Expresso Nook

Cafe-hopping around the Kampong Glam precinct just got more exciting with the addition of Tolido's Expresso Nook. Nestled in the quieter outskirts, the low key coffee joint, carrying Yahava's blend of beans, is just a few minutes' walk away from Arab Street. Prior to their move, they actually called the Omni Theatre home. The lions could kick themselves for missing this cafe out when it was in the West. Oh well, they decided to head down central to give the newly-launched cafe menu a try.

Would you like to buy the King of Fruits today? No?

New Menu features a selection of pastas, sandwiches and all-day breakfast
sets under $10.
Oooo ice-cream at $3.10 a scoop. Rum & Raisin!
Barista Corner.
Well-balanced Latte and a Long Black with subtle fruit
notes.
This Breakfast Combo comes with ...
Fluffy Pancakes! All for $9.50. The pancakes were really good with
maple syrup, can't say the same for the lacklustre sausages and eggs.
Panini-style Roast Chicken Sandwich served
with a side of potato chips and greens.
Delicious but bigger portions please!
Corner Sofa area.

Hmmm decent coffee and more bites than most cafes, but missing a little of that X-factor. Not quite as charming as Artistry but still worth a go. It would've been better with warmer, more sincere service. Hey man, is it so difficult to get great service (not even a tiny smile) at cafes nowadays?
