Do you know the Muffin Man, the Muffin Man, the Muffin Man?

I cannot believe that while checking out my friend's wellness studio, we found Muffinry, a cafe and bakery, in the area of Telok Ayer. Well it's been a long time since this area has been explored by us and we were surprised by the many changes of this place.
Rather famous in their own rights, Muffinry is known for their muffins (What else?) and their pastries. They have unique muffins like green ham and cheese, and spiced carrots. Macaroons and a rather familiar suspicious looking swiss roll are being sold there as well. We were also quite surprised, that they were serving gourmet coffee in a bakery cafe. Nevertheless we started ordering what caught our eyes. The staff there was also very helpful when they saw us looking very lost.

In all we ordered a long black, flat white, chicken and avocado sandwich and a caramel swiss roll. The caramel swiss roll tasted familiar as we recalled tasting something like that at one of the japanese pastries stall in Ion Orchard B4. Sweet and not cloying, the caramel swiss roll tasted light but yet flavorful. The chicken and avocado sandwich was delicious and the portion was generous. Large chunks of avocado laced the insides of the sandwich and the chicken pieces were generous. Turkish pide bread was used to make the sandwich a bit more special. However, the coffee that was served was average, the long black is just plain without character and the flat white's milk was just too much till I cannot taste the coffee. Cute Cute the lion gave some feedback with regards to the coffee but he was given a rather defensive answer. Lion decided it is best that his roar is reserved better purpose.

All in all, it was a delightful brunch that we had. We even bought back some of the macaroons to try and they were good.
