Go To Ogopogo

Ogopogo.... What a quirky name Cute Cute thought as he walked past this place sometime back.... Was it a boutique retail outlet or a memorabilia store? Hmm... anyways it looked like it was still in the works at that time. Fast forward 2 weeks, Cute Cute and Cuchi walked past Ogopogo again and realised that Ogopogo is a coffee joint!
Does Ogopogo sell Pogo sticks?
Ogopogo boasts an electic and quirky mix of vintage furniture pieces that seem to be quite in vogue at local cafes these days. In fact, the heritage district of Arab Street seems to be emulating the yuppie rise of Tiong Bahru these days with the birth of quite a few boutique cafes and apparal shops.

When the Lions were at Ogopogo, the cafe was just a few days in operation and only had  a limited range of coffee, beers, ciders and cakes. The lions went straight for their usual fare: Long Black, Latte and a simple Chocolate Mint Cake.

Long Black
The long black unfortunately lacked a bit of body and was a bit watery. Cute Cute later found out the beans are from Toby's Estate.... hmm....

Flat White
The flat white fared better. Seems like the beans are more suited for milk-based coffee.

Chocolate and Mint Cake
The chocolate and mint cake was a real delight though. Not too cloying sweet and light with a refreshing minty kick.

Ogopogo is located at Bussorah Street and it's a good gathering place for family, friends and colleagues.

Here is our review for Ogopogo:

Coffee quality: 6.5 pawprints out of 10
Ambience: 7.5 pawprints out of 10

Specials that you should try: Chocolate Mint Cake
