Rain, rain go away ... ... |
Rainy November days are here once again. The two lions want nothing more than to curl up with a warm, cosy cuppa and a good book in hand. They headed for a new hideaway in a shophouse in Holland Village. It was two storeys of pure, unadulterated pleasure - the java kind.
d'Good Cafe is for the serious coffee aficionado. In fact, this new joint serves one of the best cuppas in town, in the lions' humble opinion (backed also by the rave and rabid feedback of their hard-to-please friend, Mr Business Times) . Coffee is also roasted in-house here so quality is consistently kept to a high standard. The variety of beans (including premium ones like Blue Mountain and Kopi Luwark), the type of brewing methods available and quality of coffee served here is impressive.
What sealed the sweet deal here was that the ambience was perfect for chilling out on a rainy day. Choose a favourite spot in four different settings: the bar, the lawn, the attic or simply relax al-fresco style at the lovely balcony.

Civet Cat Coffee, anyone? |
Check out the futuristic-looking lift! It's like a space capsule. |
Laze on a swing at the lawn. |
Long Black and Latte were rated A* by the lions. |
Can't say the same for the limited menu though. The Guinness beef pie came in a lilliputian size. |
The attic doubles up as a playground for kids. |
Take shelter under the cabana at the atmospheric balcony. |
Back to play at the attic. |
