The lions were told that the present chef honed his skills in the kitchens of Italian Restaurants so they can expect an above average cafe food experience. Indeed, they were so happily satiated and particularly impressed by the pizzas that they returned on the same day for dinner, bringing along Mr Business Times and his wife. Well, this has never happened before given the lions' restless palates.
Order number comes in the form of a cute wooden ladle. Long Black was a smooth, medium bodied pick-me-up with smoky notes. |
Cute wooden menus. |
The Lions would rather sit indoors to hide from the sweltering heat. |
Cuchi's delightfully refreshing Pink Rose with Marigold Tea. |
This is the bee's knees! Meat Lover's Pizza. |
Buffalo wings were ordinary though. The lions were recommended the baby back ribs but were too stuffed to try and got this instead. |
Round Two. Dinner Time! Al Fungi Pizza was shared among friends and again they waxed lyrical about the crunchy pizza crust. This pizza was drizzled atop with fragrant truffle oil. My oh my... |
And lo and behold, when the Italian chef emerged from the kitchen, the lions were extremely surprised to see a familiar face who was formerly behind the kitchen of one of the pioneer indie cafes in Singapore.
